These beauties are made from our smooth white stoneware clay, fired with a shiny high fire glaze, and then pearlized. The iridescent finish on the shiny glaze is a pearl luster that is applied and fired for a third time, similar to how we add our gold luster. I love that these are not actually pearls, but are a humble bead of clay that has gone through the rigorous process of creation, sanding, and three separate firings - some over 2,000 degrees.
The Perla Huggies in 2 sizes, 12 mm and 14 mm. For a more dainty look, opt for the smaller size with a proportionally smaller pearl. The larger size option packs more of a statement while still remaining timeless and wearable.
